Educarts Vision (a.k.a. Education and Arts Vision) was established to bridge the cultural gap created by limited information about Africa culture in general education. Our mission is to enrich learning communities with the knowledge of African arts and culture. To work with schools and community centers to meet their cultural diversity goals in education. To work with learning communities to plan workshops, events, and festival that reflects African culture.
Segun Olorunfemi is a classically trained artist from Ibadan, Nigeria listed in “Who’s Who of Nigerian Art” published by Smithsonian Institute, Washington DC. He has over 25 years experience in various art media such as Yarn Painting, Sand Painting, Linoleum Block Print on Fabric, Batik on Fabric and Batik on rice-paper, Oil Painting, and Graphics. He also has 20 years experience working with people with disabilities through the arts. He served as Affiliate Director of VSA arts organization in Nigeria representing and advocating for people with disabilities.
He is a Roster Artist – Art In Education (AIE) New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. He teaches workshops on African arts and culture in schools and teaches teachers the technique of Batik and Sandpainting.
He has a Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Plymouth State University as well as a Bachelor (B.Sc.) degree in Human Services from Springfield College, Springfield, Massachusetts.
